Nothing is ever deleted. All existing invoices, clients and tracked time stay readable and exportable. You just can't create more than the Free limits allow until you upgrade again.
Instead of attaching a PDF, your email carries a unique link (hourtab.app/i/…) to a clean client-facing invoice page. When your client opens it, views it again, or downloads the PDF, it's logged in the invoice's activity timeline — and the status badge flips from Sent to Viewed.
